Technical Documentation Specialist – Mobile Equipment
Kovatera is looking for a motivated and energetic individual to join our engineering team at our Lively, Ontario facility. We are the OEM of an exciting line of utility vehicles for underground mining, with over 600 units sold around the world. The Technical Documentation Specialist reports directly to the Engineering Manager, and has responsibilities mainly in the areas of: technical publications and documentation.
The Technical Documentation Specialist is responsible for supporting documentation on the machinery we produce. In this role, you will maintain technical documentation databases and utilize various tools and applications to accurately create project documentation. The Technical Documentation Specialist will demonstrate a leadership role in all documentation related to the products while communicating with Engineering, Production, Parts and Aftermarket departments.

Developing product documentation including Parts and Service Manuals, Operator Manuals, Quick Start Guides, and Product Advisories
Collaborating with other IFI departments to ensure customer’s needs and timelines are met
Working within and adhering to our Quality Assurance system
Required Qualifications / Qualities:
Experience with Catbase, or similar electronic parts book and illustrated part catalog system
Advanced word processing skills and experience with related editing software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat)
Superior written and verbal communication skills
Effective time management skills
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a technical environment
Knowledge of engineering terminology and document types / structures would be considered an asset
Other Desired Qualities:
Experience working within the mobile mining equipment industry
Motivated self starter who readily accepts responsibility
Ability to edit and maintain our company website
A combination of office and shop environments.
Job Type: Full-time Day shift (7:00am - 3:30pm, 5 x 8hr days)
